TSgt Jeffery Moore

Technical Sergeant Jeffrey Moore was born in Alton , Illinois on October 13th 1966 (although he was raised in Lexington Kentucky ).  He entered the Air Force March 26th 1986 as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Apprentice.  After graduation from Technical training at Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois he arrived at Zweibrucken Air Base, Germany on February 20th 1987.  From Germany , TSgt Moore moved on to Tyndall Air Force Base, where he excelled as an AGE mechanic and later used his outgoing personality and exceptional communicative skills to become a Field Training Detachment Instructor.  His next stop took him halfway around the world to Misawa Air Base Japan .  His strong work ethic and dedication were evident as he trained the airmen under his charge.  He finished his outstanding career here at Eglin, where the 33d Nomads have grown to respect and admire TSgt Moore.

From the start Jeff laid the foundation for an outstanding career.  At his first duty assignment the Flight Superintendent stated “Amn Moore’s dependability and versatility have made him one of the most productive airmen in the branch”.   Jeff’s impeccable management of the fuels program garnished an excellent rating from the HQ USAFE Unit Effectiveness Team.  As Jeff progressed through the ranks, his efforts did not go unnoted; while participating in a deployment, his unwavering support was lauded by the Officer in Charge as “Best AGE support ever”.  Upon his selection to the NCO preparatory course, Jeff continued to work his magic, chosen as one of the Distinguished Graduates.  While training our airmen as an FTD instructor, he earned the Instructional Achievement Award for teaching over 1100 hours in one year.   As an AGE Production Support Specialist, Jeff’s supervisor stated “An absolutely outstanding NCO and AGE technician; the cornerstone of the AGE support section”.  Once the squadron heard of the many talents of TSgt Moore it was only a matter of time before they found a vacancy for him.  He was handpicked to be the Resource Advisor for the largest squadron on Eglin Air Force Base.  Later he was recognized as a Superstar, while earning the 33d fighter wing Resource Advisor of the Year for 2000 and 2001 consecutively.

TSgt Moore is survived by his son Jack, mother Shirley, sisters Debbie and Sherri, and brother Steve.
