With deepest sympathy, Whiteman AFB AGE flight reports the untimely loss of a fellow Ranger, SrA John W. Brummett.  John was a great guy, he worked his butt off, volunteered for extra duty that no one wanted, and would do anything for anyone in the flight.  He was a strong outstanding individual and he will be missed greatly by all of his fellow Rangers.  It was so hard to comprehend because he was the guy that everyone cared for and thought of as a friend.

In Memory of section. SSgt Rodney 'Rod' Ryle, he was a true AGE Ranger. He spent his whole 17 yr career in AGE before succumbing to melanoma in 2002. His last assignment (I think) was teaching at the schoolhouse at Sheppard (don’t know the dates of the assignment). My personal experiences with Rodney was within the first 8  yrs of my career. I was in his original Tech school class in Chanute in 1985, he afterward had assignments to Osan, Ellsworth, Osan again, Macdill, Moody and after that don’t know, besides the schoolhouse assignment.

Thanks,
